We grow lavender on our farm in Riverside, just outside Dunedin. Our lavender oil is distilled and packaged on our farm so that we can maintain the highest quality and care, We know what goes into our plants and products and are proud to be able to offer you beautiful lavender oils and products grown here in the South.
CULTIVATING QUALITY
At Lavender Row we create the best lavender products for you to use everyday. Every plant in our fields gets our tender loving care throughout the year. Then on a warm, sunny day in summer we harvest the flowers, immediately distilling lavender oil to make lavender products for you to enjoy.
Close your eyes and imagine a lavender field in full bloom. The day is warm and the sun is shining on your face. The lavender fragrance floats in the air as you stand amongst the rows. Next, you notice the sound of our busy friends the bees moving from plant to plant foraging for pollen. You open your eyes and are mesmerised by the combination of intense colour, smell and sound. It's a moment in time that will make you fall in love with the amazing plant that is lavender.
VISIT US - FARM / SHOP / ACCOMMODATION
Lavender Row is just a 25 minute drive south-west from Dunedin’s Centre, situated along State Highway 87 between Mosgiel and Outram. The property sits nestled into the hillside, with views of the Taieri Plain and watched over by the mighty Maungatua. We operate our own steam vacuum distillery on site, so there's plenty to see when you visit including the farm shop which stocks our lavender products and other essential oils. Our self-contained Bed & Breakfast accommodation makes the perfect place for a family break or weekend retreat.
